2012 Governing Board Elections

WAEYC is seeking nominations for Governing Board members! The Governing Board is a working board—one that not only considers options and makes decisions, but also one that continues to challenge itself to progress and improve.

Submit an application or suggest potential Governing Board candidates for the following open positions!

Vice President: serves as a liaison to WAEYC Affiliate Council and supports the President in performing his or her duties (2 yr term)
Treasurer: serves as the chief financial officer of WAEYC and Finance Committee chair (2 yr term)
National Affiliate Council Rep: serves as a liaison between WAEYC and NAEYC (2 yr term)
Member-At-Large: serves as voting member of the WAEYC Governing Board (2 yr term)

The slate of candidates will be presented to the existing Governing Board for approval in May 2012 and ballots will be distributed to WAEYC members in June. WAEYC Governing Board members begin their term July 2012.

  NAEYC asks all state affiliate Governing Board members to sign up for Children´s Champions, NAEYC´s free updates and action alerts on important issues being considered by Congress and the Administration.
